MRI Technologist - Tulsa, OK - 13 Weeks Contract

Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for a MRI Technologist to work onsite at our client's healthcare facility in Tulsa, OK.

EMR Used: EPIC

Shift : 2:30p - 11p M-F with rotating call on Fridays 11p - Sat 7a and Sat 7p - Sun 7a about every 8 weeks:; 30 minute max response time required

Summary:

We are looking for someone who can scan independently and facilitate patient throughput performing multiple procedures per shift on both pediatric and adult critically ill patients. Our procedures include a vast array of neurological, gastrointestinal, and orthopedic studies. Candidate will be working with another Technologist or an Imaging Assistant.

Job Requirements:

Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.
Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.

Education:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, or MRI accredited program.

Qualifications:

2 YEARS' RECENT MRI EXPERIENCE in an In-House Acute Care Setting.
SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE USING NEWER Client SCANNER PLATFORMS REQUIRED.
Cardiac MRI experience highly desirable.
Pediatric experience a plus.
EPIC experience preferred.
BLS (AHA) required.
ARRT (R) or ARMRIT required, ARRT (MR) Registry preferred.
