    The Externship Coordinator plays a vital role in facilitating externship programs for Allied Health students. This position requires a combination of administrative, educational, and interpersonal skills to ensure the successful coordination of externship placements, student support, and program evaluation.

    ONLY CONSIDERING LOCAL CANDIDATES TO MIAMI/FT LAUDERDALE

    This is an on-site position.

    Location: 7757 W Flagler St #220, Miami, FL 33144

    Work Schedule: M-W 9 AM to 6 PM, 1 day a week 10 AM to 7 PM, 1 day a week 11 AM to 8 PM. No Saturdays.

    Fridays end of day 4 PM.
    • Key Responsibilities: **
    • **Externship Placement Coordination: **
    • Collaborate with healthcare facilities to secure externship placements for allied health and nursing students
    • Assess student learning needs and match them with appropriate externship opportunities
    • Negotiate agreements and contracts with external partners to formalize externship placements
    • **Student Support and Guidance: **
    • Provide orientation sessions for allied health students participating in externship programs
    • Offer guidance and support to students throughout their externship experience, addressing concerns and providing resources as needed
    • Monitor student progress and conduct regular check-ins to ensure a positive learning experience
    • **Administrative Duties: **
    • Develop and maintain databases to track externship placements, student progress, and evaluations
    • tracking the students and their hours
    • Periodically check with students
    • Coordinate scheduling, coordination, and documentation related to externship placements
    • Manage communication channels between nursing schools, students, and external partners
    • **Program Evaluation and Improvement: **
    • Collect feedback from students, preceptors, and healthcare facilities to evaluate the effectiveness of externship programs
    • Analyze data and identify areas for improvement in externship coordination processes
    • Collaborate with faculty and stakeholders to implement enhancements to the externship program
    • **Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: **
    • Ensure that externship placements comply with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
    • Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to nursing externships
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with relevant guidelines

    Requirements

    • Qualifications: **
    • Work experience as medical assistant, allied health or practical nurse or related healthcare professional
    • Previous experience in career services as faculty member in allied health career education
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards relevant to nursing education
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software
    • Commitment to promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment for nursing students

    Experience:

    • Allied Health Education: 1 year (Required)
