    Description

    Apex Systems is looking for a Advanced Cost Analyst in Dahlgren, VA to support one of our clients. This is a hybrid position on a fast paced, close knit team. If interested, please send your resume and call availability to [email protected]

    Responsibilites

    • Cost Estimating and Modeling
      • Develop cost models and incorporating cost risk analysis.
      • Prepare estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines.
      • Prepare independent government cost estimates for Acquisition Strategy Panels.
      • Participate in CARD recommendations and engage in reviews of cost models and data accuracy and adequacy both internally and with OSD CAPE.
    • Cost Analysis
      • Coordinate information with programs and functional areas.
      • Conduct data normalization, statistical analysis and empirical analyses using applicable databases.
      • Prepare and provide Analyses of Alternatives, Business Case Analyses, and mid-term and far-term architecture planning studies.
    • Cost Data Analysis and Collection
      • Develop and maintain cost policy process improvements.
      • Develop and maintain Government owned cost databases.
      • Prepare and participate in cost scenario reviews.
      • Prepare unit cost data for congressionally required reports.
      Develop initial cost data collection plans and validation methods for earned value and other contractor cost data reporting requirements.
    • Affordability Analysis.
      • Assist in the preparation of prioritized requirements lists and their justification.
      • Participate in affordability reviews providing the datas basis and to identify potential trade-offs, providing impact and assessing alternatives.
      • Provide the cost estimates to support agency budget submissions and Acquisition baseline documents.
    Required Skills:
    • Must be US Citizen open to obtaining or maintaining Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
    • BS/BA in a related field and 10+ years of applicable experience.
    • MS/MA in a related field and 7+ years of applicable experience.
    • MS Office proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    Desired Skills:
    • MS Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or related field.
    • Proficiency with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT).
