Job Title: Rights Review Specialist - Temporary
A little bit about our team:
The Global Catalog Research and Rights Administration Group is a subdivision of Rhino Entertainment Company's Business & Legal Affairs Department and is responsible for researching WMG's rights to exploit its existing catalog recordings in response to queries from Rhino, WMG Global Catalog, and WMG's Synch and Master Use Licensing Groups. You'll work directly with Global Catalog Business Affairs and WMG label data teams to clarify key terms and help answer questions from all levels around the company.
Here you'll get to:
● Review chain of title documents and conduct music rights research in order to resolve rights inquiries using a variety of internal and external systems.
● Work with various WMG teams to apply research findings to resolve conflicting claims of rights at DSPs including SoundExchange and YouTube.
● Work with label attorneys and rights administration staff to confirm interpretations of contract language and apply standard contractual business practices.
About you:
● 3-5 years' experience in contract administration or rights management preferred.
● Firsthand experience interpreting and summarizing various types of entertainment contracts including recording deals, license agreements, and catalog buyouts.
● Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
● Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
● Strong interpersonal skills and music industry knowledge.
We'd love it if you also had:
● A passion for the intersection of music, business law, and technology.
● Previous experience with SalesForce or similar data management systems
● Familiar with the recorded music industry as well as related legal issues.
