    Duties


    Typical work assignments include:

    • Provides critical infrastructure-related single points of failure within the region to focus regional infrastructure protection efforts.
    • Collects information on critical infrastructure dependencies from many varied sources to identify relevant issues and any cross-regional critical infrastructure dependencies or interdependencies.
    • Leads the analysis of critical infrastructure dependencies and interdependencies within region/district programs, and conducts cascading effects analysis to determine how dependencies might affect the region during an incident.
    • Integrates and coordinates regional level geospatial activities, as directed, in order to have better overall understanding of regional critical infrastructure.
    • Advises the senior leadership and headquarters personnel of critical infrastructure trends in region to provide information and maintain situational awareness.
    • Assists senior leadership in determining regional critical Infrastructure protection resilience goals and strategies and participates in developing a Regional Strategic Plan to provide operational objectives.
    • Works closely with the Regional Director and regional personnel to plan and execute incident response, including drills or simulations.
    • Develops regional critical infrastructure analysis by sector to identify vulnerabilities.
    • Reviews and analyzes regional plans, policies and security procedures and other matters of importance as determined by leadership, in order to ensure that the plans are tailored to the region's unique critical infrastructure priorities and needs.
    • Compiles incident reports and other short-notice reports from Security Advisors and drafts standard report packages to keep leadership informed about regional IOD issues.
    • Maintains awareness of critical infrastructure operational activities, progress, and issues to maintain situational awareness within the region.
    • Assists in determining the need for written policies and procedures, overseeing the development of policies and procedures, and reviewing and recommending approval upon completion to provide feasible courses of action as needed.
