    *$30 hourly

    As an integral part of our innovative medical device manufacturing process, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and compliance of our products. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing processes by ensuring equipment functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting in the implementation of engineering solutions. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to optimizing manufacturing operations. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to support the development, testing, and improvement of medical devices that make a real difference in healthcare.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
    • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing equipment, processes, and systems to maintain productivity and quality standards.
    • Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to enhance efficiency and quality.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting activities, and process changes to support compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
    • Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to manufacturing personnel to ensure proper operation of equipment and adherence to standard operating procedures.
    • Quality Assurance: Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing operations.
    • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing engineering to enhance knowledge and skills.

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND/OR EDUCATION:

    • Technical Certifications: Certifications in areas such as equipment maintenance, automation, or quality management systems are advantageous.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards, such as ISO 13485.
    • Knowledge of CAD software for reviewing and understanding design drawings.
    • Previous experience in a regulated industry, preferably in healthcare.
    • Associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
