    Salary Range:
    $65,000.00 To 85,000.00 Annually

    Hazen and Sawyer has an exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated and dynamic individual to join our growing Utility Management Solutions Group.

    This opportunity involves working with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, planners, and scientists to develop utility management solutions for a wide array of water-related projects locally, and nationwide.

    The position is within the West Region Asset Management group and involves collaboration with Digital Strategies and Solutions as well as GIS teams.

    This collaboration would leverage Hazen's advanced planning services and data analytics to ensure delivery of exceptional solutions to our clients.

    Moreover, the successful candidate will have the chance to utilize many of the analytical skills used in asset and utility management projects to aid engineering staff on other planning and design projects.


    The job duties for this position include:

    Develop, implement, and maintain advanced analytics models and solutions to support decision making in all areas of utility and asset management.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Subject Matter Experts to understand client business needs and identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.

    Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes.
    Apply industry best practices and analytical approaches to identify opportunities in improving processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs.
    Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, development of data protocols, processing, analysis, reports, data visualization and presentations.
    Coordinate and assist in conducting field condition assessments.
    Participate in strategic business development planning and execution.
    Interface with clients as required.
    Develop, maintain, and grow asset management expertise.

    Increase awareness of Hazen's asset management capabilities both externally (participation in industry organizations, conferences, and seminars) and internally within Hazen.

    Extend the application of asset management practices and tools to a broader range of engineering and planning related projects.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, GIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or closely related fields.
    Master's degree is a plus.
    Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    Proficiency in database development, data analytics, and data models.
    Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or similar tools
    Experience with spatial analytical tools such as ESRI ArcGIS and related products.
    Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to work with a team or independently.
    Ability to travel regionally.

    Preferred Skills:
    Experience in utility management or asset management.
    Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data mining techniques.
    Project or Task management experience.
    Public speaking experience.
    Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, R), Business Intelligence and database development skills using SQL, Visual Basics, Python, or related programming languages
    Proficient in Esri's ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Story Maps and ArcMap
    Working familiarity with critical elements of the Microsoft BI stack (e.g., Power Query, Power BI)
    Revit 3D Modeling experience
    Previous experience in water and wastewater planning or environmental science.
    Familiarity with comparative economics evaluations.
