Our most advanced radar systems are designed by our Integrated Warfare System and Solutions (IWSS) team and we are looking for highly talent individuals, like yourself, with a passion for RADAR and Electronic Warfare Technology.

We provide surface, air and undersea solutions, including radar and surveillance systems, undersea combat systems, and surface combat systems and sensors.

The Work

• In this position, you will be a responsible systems engineering and integration and test leader for the Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense product line groups in Syracuse NY, leading 16-22 systems/software engineers in the development of complex systems.
• Responsible for personnel management including staffing, administration, performance assessment, and feedback. Program area responsibilities include review and approving of functional proposal input and BOEs.
• Individual will own, execute, and status department level initiatives, and act as change agent in responsible area with focus on affordability and advancing technical capabilities and innovation.
• The manager supports and oversees the development and execution of engineering efforts including ensuring cost, schedule, and technical milestones are met. It is expected that the Manager will be > 50% applied doing direct program tasking in some type of leadership and/or technical capacity within the Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense radar product areas.
• Staffing responsibilities include the projection and planning of appropriate staffing levels, recruiting and selection of interns, contractors, college hires and experienced professionals.
• Facilitates and ensures technical vitality of functional team to meet current and strategic requirements
• Fosters career development and employee growth as: Technical contributors, program leads, functional leaders, and future business leaders
• Guides resolution of technical issues across programs within technical discipline
• Ensures cost, schedule and technical commitments are met for all programs and product
• Ensures appropriate Basis of Estimates are applied, risks and opportunities identified, and approves cost estimates

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in EE, SE, Computer Science/Engineering,

Physics or equivalent degree

• Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
• Risk management experience and expertise,

including identification, mitigation and
abatement planning and tracking

• Detailed knowledge and understanding of

systems engineering processes, the flow down
of system requirements, and the interaction of
system and subsystem requirements that result
in a firm set of system and subsystem level
performance requirements, subsystem
integration, and system test.

• Experience leading teams.
• Ability to work at multiple site locations in the Syracuse/Central New York area including Liverpool, NY and Cazenovia, NY

Desired Skills:

Broad background in systems and software engineering and with specific experience in Radar Systems Engineering and Radar Integration, Verification and Validation is desired.

Experience with radar system integration and test planning and procedure development and system validation and final sell off is desired.

Ground Based Radar product experience is preferred.
Demonstrated interpersonal, team-building skills, strong work ethic and self-motivation. Strong customer focus with a proven record of outstanding customer satisfaction. Strong oral and written communications skills.

Experience with other advanced SE/SW techniques such as Agile and MBSD is a plus, as is experience in several key domains including architecture, analysis, design, trade studies, integration, and test.

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900

- $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Non-represented full-time employees:

accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $141,300

- $244,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
