The RN PCU Step Down position involves coordinating and delivering high-quality patient-centered care. The nurse assesses patient condition during admission and each shift, identifies changes in status, and reports them to medical providers. They perform procedures as ordered, document care in the patient record, administer medications, monitor response, and maintain knowledge of medications used in cardiac patients.
