- Salesforce; Data Collection/Entry/Management. Entering large amounts of data details effectively into Salesforce and ensuring accuracy and all sections complete before passing on to other teams.
- Managing the flow of incoming requests, inquiries and emails as well as actively reviewing opportunities on government marketplace sites.
- Using proposal/bid templates with small adjustments to fit specific requests. Writing rarely from scratch, more technical editing to ensure required elements are satisfied (proper course types are bid, correct fonts are used, grammar is checked, etc.)
- Client Relationship management; maintaining and developing existing relationships and ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
- Leadership; managing, coaching and helping develop the BD Specialist.
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Marketing, Business or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, proposal writing, Account Management or similar sales field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
- Certification as a Contracts Manager, Training Developer, or Proposal Writer is a plus

This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy. This role will have elements of Business Development, Proposal writing and Bid management as well as people leadership.
