    You'll be in charge of bookkeeping, producing financial reports, and recording accurate information in QuickBooks. If this sounds like you, we highly encourage you to apply.

    Responsibilities


    Payroll:
    Running payroll for 1099 and W2 staff, including preparation of commission worksheets for MLO compensation


    Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements in adherence to GAAP


    Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, and contribute to financial forecasting


    Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures


    Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings including excise tax reports and quarterly payroll tax for multiple states


    Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights


    Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, balance books, data entry into QuickBooks, optimizing management strategies


    Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of financial regulations, ensuring the company's compliance


    Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors, address audit findings, and implement corrective actions


    Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, developing mitigation strategies


    Financial Software and Systems: Utilize accounting software, staying current with financial technology


    Qualifications


    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred


    Experience:
    Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the mortgage or financial industry


    Reporting:
    Strong understanding of GAAP and experience in financial reporting


    Software:
    Proficient in accounting software including QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel


    Communication:
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


    Work:
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team


    Location:
    MUST be located within 30 miles of Eagle, Idaho
