    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Ivy Street School is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations. Ivy Street School is a therapeutic 766 Day and Residential School that serves 50 students ages 13-22 with Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Neurological Disorders and Behavioral Health Challenges. The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for the coordination, oversite, and implementation of clinical and behavior services at Ivy Street School. Under the supervision of the Chief Program Officer, the Director of Clinical Operations participates as a part of the Ivy Street School Leadership Team and is responsible for the oversite and professional development of the clinical and behavior department team members. The Director of Clinical Operations functions as a leader, organizer, and expert at mobilizing the Ivy Street School mini teams to support student/family growth and goal progress with a particular emphasis on coordination of clinical service delivery within the context of the residential program.

    We are seeking candidates with a social work or related background and at least 3 years of experience working in residential-educational programs or in a similar milieu. Candidates must also have experience supporting neurodiverse young people who manage mental health challenges and who are working on developing skills in the areas of self-regulation, coping and independent living. This position is a leadership role that includes student and family facing work as well as staff supervision and coaching. The Director of Clinical Operations is an expert in therapeutic approaches for neurodiverse students and collaborates with the leadership team at Ivy Street School to guide and direct our program. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40 hours, with at least 2 days per week to include late afternoon and early evening hours.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Oversite of Clinical & Behavior Service Delivery

    • Responsible for ensuring clinical and behavior service delivery both upholds Ivy Street School's values as well as meets standards outlined on student's IEP and treatment plans
    • Provides individual, group, and family therapy to a small caseload of high need/clinically complex students
    • In collaboration with supervisor, develops strategic initiatives with intention of continuing to improve and provide innovative clinical and behavior supports to Ivy Street School students and families
    • Responsible for the development and maintenance of a vision, goals, data collection and outcome monitoring for the clinical and behavior departments with support from supervisor
    • Maintains a strong partnership with the Residential Leadership Team to ensure clinical and behavior service delivery during residential programming is nurturing student growth and goal progress and in line with best practices
    • In partnership with supervisor, will ensure specific supports are considered for LGBTQ+ students and families and BIPOC students and families.

    Leadership, Coaching & Supervision

    • Leads internal and external treatment meetings in collaboration with supervisor
    • Designs, monitors, and maintains the Ivy Street School Clinical Internship Program
    • Provides clinical supervision to Ivy Street clinical and behavior team members including interns, LCSWs, LICSWs, BCBA and Behavior Technicians as needed
    • Leads weekly clinical department and behavior team meetings
    • Participates in as a member of the Administrator on Duty team to provide on-call supervision and support to both day and residential programming
    • Provides and coordinates orientation and in-service training for clinical and behavior teams

    Family Engagement

    • Organizes and leads the regular parent support group for residential families
    • Collaborates with the senior leadership team to develop and design parent training and programing opportunities

    Documentation & Quality Assurance

    • In collaboration with supervisor, ensures all clinical and behavior documentation meets regulatory standards including but not limited to assessments, treatment plans, IEP goals/progress notes, department meeting notes & sign ins and data collection
    • Participates as a member of the Ivy Street School Compliance Team
    • Participates in quarterly internal audits of Ivy Street School clinical and educational documentation

    Strategic Initiatives in Clinical/Behavior Expertise

    • In collaboration with supervisor, develops strategic initiatives and programming to enhance the clinical and behavior service delivery models within the context of the residential and educational setting

    SUPERVISORY

    Clinicians, Clinician Interns as indicated, BCBA as indicated, Behavior Specialists as indicated

    LICENSSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION

    • LICSW required
    • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, CPI (Ivy Street School can provide these trainings)
    • Driver's license

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Master's Degree in Social Work
    • 1+ years' experience in a supervisory role
    • Expertise in PBIS, Trauma-Informed Care and family systems
    • Experience and comfort with public speaking
    • Excellent family engagement skills
