    POSITION SUMMARY


    Responsible for equipment and plant layout design, energy conservation, development and implementation of capital program and key projects, general upkeep and improvement of plant facility, electrical and mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of physical plant, utilities and grounds in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.

    Ensure compliance with environmental laws and addresses environmental issues.

    Working with cross-functional groups of employees and contractors in the successful management and execution of key projects.


    Supports and facilitates Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental objectives and fosters a work environment which promotes the facility to perform as 'one of the safest companies in each market and business we operate'.

    Budgetary responsibility for assigned projects.

    Work overtime and weekends as required.

    This position is 100% onsite (no exceptions for remote work).

    This is a 1st shift role, some weekends/holiday weekends required.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Work safely at all times. Follow all safety policies and procedures.

    Participates in the development, implementation, and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities 15% of time


    Leads and manages assigned capital projects to include new equipment installations, plant layout and design, manufacturing automation projects, and maintenance related projects.

    Develops scope of work and evaluates bids for work completion 55% of time

    Monitors outside contractors to assure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity and budgeting 10% of time

    Working knowledge of the engineering environmental activities including air, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and solid waste 5%

    Responsible for the cost schedule and performance of assigned projects 5%

    Understand and complies with all property accounting policies and procedures 5%

    Other duties as assigned 5%

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Computer proficient

    Stays abreast of technological trends and procedures through involvement with outside organizations, professional contacts, periodicals, books, seminars, etc.

    Timely communication of all aspects of assigned projects

    May be required to coordinate other internal functions, such as the Controls group and Designer

    Works as required with the safety committee and safety management to implement safety suggestions providing a safe atmosphere for the total plant operation

    MINIMUM
    QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience:
    (Years/Type) 3+ years of capital project management experience

    1+ years of budget management experience

    Capable of managing the capital budget process from beginning to end.

    Able to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects on an ongoing basis.

    Thorough understanding of engineering economics.

    Must be authorized to work in the United States


    EDUCATION

    Education:
    B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution
