Our client is a fast-paced manufacturing company. They are searching for a Buyer. The Buyer will have responsibility for procuring materials, supplies, and services. Functions include but are not limited to creating take/offs from prints to create procurement actions for assigned commodities, obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts and developing/maintaining suppliers' quality and delivery performance. This position will take ownership for cost, inventory levels, on-time delivery and quality to support manufacturing operations production schedules.

Position Requirements:

• Buy all raw materials and components needed for our manufacturing facility.
• The ability to form internal and external alliances to achieve the company's goals.
• The ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers.
• Manage inventory part numbers and inventory counts.
• Lead year-end inventory and cycle counts.
• Create and manage a system to remove obsolete and dead stock.
• Create inventory and purchasing reports as needed by management.
• Sage experience
• Self-motived and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills; high level of attention to detail.
