Join Our Premier Level II Trauma Center as an Acute Care Registered Nurse Are you a dedicated RN seeking an exciting opportunity in a dynamic environment? We are hiring motivated Acute Care RNs to join our award-winning Level II Trauma Center in Topeka, Kansas.

Position Overview:
We are looking for 2-4 experienced Acute Care RNs to support our newly established department, specializing in admissions and patient stabilization.
This role offers a challenging yet rewarding environment where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes. Shifts are 36 hours per week, with options for 7 a.m. 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. 7 a.m. including holiday coverage.The assignment duration ranges from 13 to 26 weeks, with a preference for those committing to the full 26 weeks.
Flexibility to float to other units may be required. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in clinical skills, adaptability, and a passion for acute patient care.Required Skills:
Current and valid RN license BLS, ACLS, PALS certification NIHSS certification (may need to obtain TNCC if expired)
Proficiency with Epic EMR system Ability to work 36 hours/week with weekend and holiday rotations Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills Ability to float to other units as needed No recent first-time travelers; must be an experienced, dependable professional Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience in trauma or emergency settings Experience with patient admissions and stabilization Ability to handle high-acuity cases efficiently Additional certifications relevant to trauma or emergency nursing Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, especially in trauma or emergency units Prior experience working in Level II Trauma Centers or similar high-acuity environments
