Laboratory Technician
We are currently seeking a candidate with a background in Chemistry and knowledge in Chromatography for a client in Tallmadge, Ohio

Shifts available:

2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3:30pm-11:30pm

3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 11:30pm-7:30am


Pay:
$19.50-$20 / hr


Responsibilities:
Meet quality criteria according to the standard operating procedures.
Working with chromatography

Perform the expected number of tests per eight-hour shift at any one of the test stations (see Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Section).

Enter test results into data entry program.
Follow safety and the Chemical Hygiene Plan regulations.
Perform entry-level lab services work that is supervised and in accordance with well-defined standard and procedures
Record and compile data
Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education required; Chemistry coursework preferred
1-2 years of experience and familiarity with lab procedures preferred
Knowledge of general lab safety practices preferred
Ability to learn or prior knowledge preferred in one or more of the following tests:
Liquid Screen
Karl Fischer
Power Factor

FTIR
Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
Strong initiative and follow through skills
Strong communication skills
Reliable and punctual
Must display and possess a high level of integrity
Must have a strong sense of teamwork
Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, data entry, and instrument-related operating software
Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch throughout the workday
Ability to perform work at workstation for extended periods
Ability to lift materials/objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Ability to work on a regular basis an 8-hour shift/5 days a week
Ability to work mandatory overtime as required to address peak workload
Regularly required to talk, see, and hear
