Job Title: SCADA Systems Specialist at NextEra Energy

NextEra Energy is currently looking for a skilled professional to join their team as a SCADA Systems Specialist. In this role, you will utilize your diverse knowledge of IT, OT, and automation principles to support the development and management of the company's SCADA systems.

Overview:

As a SCADA Systems Specialist at NextEra Energy, you will play a critical role in maintaining the overall availability and integrity of SCADA systems for company assets nationwide. This will involve tasks such as data collection, storage, distribution, and creating user-friendly HMI screens.

Job Responsibilities:

Configuration, development, and administration of SCADA systems and related applications.
Acting as a technical liaison within the organization.
Monitoring and resolving performance and security issues in the environment.
Providing technical support to ensure SCADA data reliability.
Managing EFM data collection and assisting with field integration.
Maintaining documentation and drawings related to the SCADA environment.
Displaying strong communication skills in a fast-paced setting.
Ensuring operational stability during emergencies.

Desired Qualifications:

Formal training in Electronics, Control Systems, Programming, and Networking.
Experience with SCADA applications and programming languages like VBScript and SQL.
Familiarity with industry PLCs, RTUs, and communication protocols.
Knowledge of EFM data and network troubleshooting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Overview:

This position involves planning and executing technical projects that impact major company programs. The SCADA Systems Specialist acts as a technical liaison, coordinating assignments with significant impact and independence.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Providing technical support to operations and business unit personnel.
Conducting system testing and documentation during changes.
Identifying and implementing solutions to complex system issues.
Leading in the design and implementation of security applications.
Developing processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
Establishing and maintaining operational support procedures.
Traveling to sites for troubleshooting support.
Performing other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications:

Technical Excellence and Learning mindset.
Proficiency in Process Management and Quality Tools.
Effective Written and Verbal Communication skills.
High School Graduation or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Supervisory or Management Experience.
