Job summary
The purpose of this class is to provide customer service to citizens and employees who contact the Department of Risk Management for assistance in the filing and handling of general, automotive, and Workers' Compensation claims.This job requires a level of independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
Works within a team and sometimes independently,
- Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, Business, Insurance Management or other related field of study preferred OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a field directly related to claims handling.
- Requires extensive knowledge of the Virginia Worker's Compensation Act,
- risk management financing and claims handling.
