    **Purpose/Introduction**

    Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a Process Engineer to join the team at the Pascagoula site. The Process Engineer will report to the Chemical Operations Manager. This position is responsible for technical support for the safe & reliable operation of the Aromax Unit within the Chevron Pascagoula Refinery.

    **Responsibilities**

    + Provide daily troubleshooting assistance, consultation, and engineering support to Operations and Maintenance personnel as it relates to process conditions and optimization

    + Visible safety leader on the unit improving awareness and implementing solutions to improve personal and process safety

    + Develop and implement process design studies and test runs that provide efficiency, safety, or profitability improvements. Conduct economic analysis for process improvements

    + Participate in the Process Safety Management process by executing the Management of Change process, complete Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, Process Hazard Analyses, and other technical processes

    + Monitor plant performance and quality metrics and provide input into continuous improvement opportunities

    + Support environmental group by providing assistance in issues relating to permit requirements / calculations

    + Support plant in PHA reviews and other process safety objectives.

    + Initial front-end engineering for process improvement, process optimization, expense, and capital projects

    **Required Qualifications**

    + Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering

    + At least 2 years of industry experience in a chemical processing or refinery environment

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills to perform within cross-discipline work groups

    + Demonstrated strong analytical skills

    + Must be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision

    + Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet targeted completion deadlines.

    **Preferred Qualifications**

    + Previous process engineering or process optimization experience is a plus

    + Prior experience working turnarounds or major unit shutdowns

    + Experience using process modeling applications such as Aspen or Pro II
