    Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist and Office Manager- full-time position available in a fast-paced Behavioral Health Agency Monday thru Friday. Summit Psychological Associates employs social workers, counselors, psychologists, case managers and psychiatric staff who bill to Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance and contracts for the mental health and substance use disorder treatment provided at the agency. The agency employs 3 billing specialists who would be overseen by this position as well as a staff of 5 support staff/intake specialists.

    In this position you will:

    • Serve as manager of billing department and support staff/intake for the agency.
    • Assist in hiring billing and support staff and complete onboarding with new staff.
    • Oversee completion of work and arrange for additional training as needed.
    • Assist in credentialing for clinicians and for agency with insurance companies, Medicaid, Medicare, Federal contracts.
    • Monitor claim processing and payments in electronic record and clearinghouse.
    • Monitor contract billing and payments received.
    • Assist with day to day billing/accounts receivable tasks.
    • Correct failed claims to ensure that claims go to the payer accurately
    • Monitor accounts receivable lists and follow up on accounts
    • Resolve outstanding receivables
    • Monitor front desk and intake processes to ensure completion of tasks.
    • Identify processes needing improvement and communicate ideas to administration
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Required qualifications for this position include:

    • Two to five years experience in a medical office, billing, accounting, banking or customer service setting
    • Management experience preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task, self-motivate and focus
    • Detail-oriented, organized and possess strong communication skills
    • High standards of customer service
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
    • Previous experience with healthcare billing, coding, CPT and ICD-10 coding. Carelogic experience a plus.
    • Understand and comply with all HIPAA regulations
