    Job Title: Purchasing Specialist

    ABC Technologies Inc. is a world leader in vertically integrated plastic processing, supporting a global organization with locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

    We have an opening for a Purchasing Specialist at our ABC Leitchfield Facility. The role is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of materials throughout the production process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain compliance with IATF16945 and ISO14001 standards.
    • Monitor and maintain optimal levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production schedules.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
    • Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and resolve any issues.
    • Generate purchase orders based on production requirements and inventory levels.
    • Verify order accuracy, pricing, and terms before processing and submitting to suppliers.
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
    • Collaborate with production and planning teams to align purchasing activities with production schedules.
    • Address material shortages or issues that may impact the production process.
    • Manage purchasing transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
    • Update and manage the supplier database with relevant information.
    • Collaborate with quality control team to ensure purchased materials meet established standards and specifications.
    • Facilitate the movement of materials within the facility.
    • Resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly.
    • Provide information to management for strategic decision-making.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement in material handling, storage, and inventory management.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years related experience in manufacturing.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel.
    • IQMS experience preferred.
