- Complete assessment to ensure quality standards and outstanding patient care
- Evaluate areas that require attention. Use appropriate clinical techniques and tools and establishes individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques
- Establish individualized care and discharge plans and ensure plans are communicated to appropriate parties.
- Document intervention and strategies for treatment in required organizational systems. Documentation includes assessment, measurable criteria, goals, method of treatment, home program, and plan
- Adapts plan according to patient's response to intervention.
- Provide home programs and other educational information to patients and support systems prior to termination of therapy intervention
- Utilizes current research to analyze and improve clinical skills and decision making
- Coordinate patient care programs with the treatment team to facilitate and enhance functional outcomes
- Assist in the review of program quality and development of procedures and protocols for superior patient care
- Constant contact and open dialogue with Therapy Admin, Director, and Physicians regarding scheduling, policy changes, personnel issues, equipment, and patient care
- Assists in clinical and administrative decisions to best optimize clinic function
- Protection of confidential data
- Economic use of time, equipment, and supplies; safety and welfare of patients and other employees
- Supervises assigned assistants.
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy School; Occupational Therapy Licenses
- Previous experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, knowledge of health insurance industry practices and/or medical billing procedures.
- Consistently projects a professional image through attire, conduct, personal grooming, and overall attitude
- Experience with medical scheduling/billing systems preferred.
- Exceptional customer service, interpersonal skills, and communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic records systems is preferred. Must have strong data entry skills.
- Must be able to complete tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment with frequent disruptions.
- Must demonstrate the ability to analyze data and resolve complex problems.
- Must have the ability to work independently while managing time and workload appropriately.
- Must be able to travel to all clinic locations and work overtime hours as needed.
