    Job Description: Electrical Foreman

    Reports To: Project Manager

    Classification: Non-Exempt

    General Description:

    As an Electrical Foreman, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of electrical construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in guiding a team of electricians and apprentices to deliver high-quality results in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

    Duties:

    • Leadership and Supervision: You will lead a team of electricians, apprentices, and other personnel, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the project. Your role involves assigning tasks, managing work schedules, and ensuring that team members adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
    • Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, you will participate in project planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and resource allocation. You will then develop work plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that project milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
    • Technical Expertise: Drawing upon your extensive experience in the electrical field, you will provide technical support and assistance to the team as needed. This may involve interpreting blueprints and schematics, troubleshooting complex electrical systems, and recommending solutions to technical challenges.
    • Quality Assurance: Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality is essential in the electrical construction industry. You will conduct regular inspections of work sites and completed installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
    • Safety Management: Safety is a top priority on construction sites, and as the Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for promoting and enforcing safety practices at all times. You will conduct safety meetings, implement safety procedures, and address any safety concerns or violations promptly to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication is key to the success of electrical construction projects. You will liaise with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and provide progress updates. Additionally, you will foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote teamwork and productivity.
    • Training and Development: As a mentor to less experienced team members, you will provide training, guidance, and mentorship to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers. This may include on-the-job training, skills assessments, and opportunities for professional growth.
    • Complete other duties at the discretion of management.

    Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in the electrical construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project leadership.
    • Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician certification.
    • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
    • Leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
    • Commitment to safety and quality excellence.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to overhead position.
    • Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Must have the balance and dexterity to maneuver around a construction site and must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Must be drug and alcohol free.
    • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout complete shift.
    • Positive attitude and team player
    • Adhering to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipment.
    • Ability to withstand different climates (extreme heat and other weather).
