    Join an amazing team of educators at B'nai Jehudah Child Development Center, a partnership between The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and The Temple, Congregation B'nai Jehudah. B'nai Jehudah CDC is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community that offers infants care and preschool for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.

    The Teaching Assistant helps to provide a safe, nurturing, and exciting learning environment. Teaching Assistants collaborate with Teachers to supervise children, keep the classroom organized, and communicate with parents.

    • Flexible schedule with both full and part time options

    • Great Overland Park location just a mile south of The J
    • $16-18/hr depending on qualifications

    Responsibilities

    • Provide for the health and safety of all children in the school
    • Treat children with dignity, respect, and compassion
    • Provide support to teachers through lesson plan implementation, daily cleaning tasks, and supervision of children
    • Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents
    Requirements:
    • Experience working with children (Preferred)

    Physical Requirements

    Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
