    WRA is currently seeking a senior level Transportation Project Manager with a strong technical background and experience managing major transportation projects to support the growth of our practice in Virginia.


    Responsibilities:


    The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for guiding a project team in the planning and design of projects by supervising engineers and coordinating with other design disciplines to develop project deliverables.

    Anticipated types of projects include intersection and interchange improvements, new roadway alignments, roadway widenings, interstate design, and pedestrian and bicycle facility design.

    The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the development of projects including coordination with clients and subconsultants and will be responsible for the quality assurance for plans and specifications for major transportation projects.

    The position will include leading the business development of our transportation group and continue our growth in the transportation industry in Virginia.


    Requirements:

    Applicants must possess the following:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Virginia
    20+ years of relevant job experience related to highway engineering including experience with VDOT
    Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Ability to manage multiple assignments
    Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
