    Description

    We are currently seeking a

    Lead Radiation Oncology Physicist who holds a MS Degree and/or a PHD Degree in Radiation Therapy Physics or a closely related field.

    Radiation Oncology at Maimonides: Consists of 6 RO faculties, 5 RO Residents, 4 Medical Physicists, 3 Medical Dosimetrists, 2 Assistant QA Physicists, and experienced therapists and nursing staff plus the IT staff from Maimonides MIS. 80 patients are treated daily with EBRT: IGRT/ SBRT on 2 Varian Linacs, a Halcyon, and an EX-machine. A state-of-the-art new Varian Ethos technology for Adaptive therapy is scheduled for installation in 2024. Elekta MOSAIQ and Varian ARIA OIS and Varian Eclipse TPS are in use. GE CT-Sim, Siemens PET/ CT and Siemens MRI machine are utilized for patient imaging.

    Responsibilities: Provide support to clinical, educational and research activities; assume leading role in initiating new projects, protocols, and programs; participate in management of physics and treatment planning, work closely with the IT division and vendor experts to streamline treatment planning and delivery processes; assist Maimonides leadership to improve quality of patient care within the greater Brooklyn communities.

    Qualifications: Expertise in Brachytherapy, Eclipse TPS; experience with ARIA/ MOSAIQ OIS, Varian Linear Accelerators, familiarity with Halcyon/ Ethos technology; experience in initiating education/ research programs and new clinical projects; ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team; excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and strong computer programing skills a plus.

    Requirements: Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) or have equivalent credentials acceptable to the Chief Medical Physicist.

    Salary- Benefits: $235,000 – 275,000, plus benefits.
