- We are looking to fill this position at the following location(s):
- Conducts system security engineering activities (Linux/Unix Focused). Install, monitor and tune Linux/Unix Server operating system software and virtual machine subsystem software to obtain ATO (Authorize to Operate) for new image build.
- Capture and refine client requirements and ensures that the requirements are effectively integrated into information technology component products and information systems through purposeful design, development, and configuration.
- Employ best practices when implementing patch management / vulnerability management in the Linux construct.
- Perform research, analysis, and design for all Linux/Unix computing systems and the network infrastructure.
- Develop, implement, and document formal configuration guides as needed.
- Provide security controls and maintain necessary network/data separation
- Ensure that essential services are installed on supported versions of OS and keep the versions of the services themselves up to date.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years experience with DoD systems.
- Experience with DoD vulnerability analysis and Industry Best Business Practices.
- Quick learner, able to learn new software and technologies.
- Must have strong experience with Linux/Unix and Unix shell scripting (5+ years).
- Redhat Enterprise Linux (Physical and Virtual (VMware) Environment).
- Solaris (Physical and Virtual (VMware) Environment).
- Must have strong Redhat Satellite Server and Ansible experience
- Experience in standing up new services and tools on virtual machines within a Linux environment.
- Experience with Gitlab, Docker, and repo mirrors.
- Experience with Python. PowerShell, and Bash scripting.
- Familiar with VMware ESXi and VSphere.
- Familiar with virtualization network on multiple classifications.
- BS in Computer Science / System Engineering (or related career field)
- IAT Level 2
- Security+ required
- Must Possess Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance and pass CI Polygraph
