    SUMMARY:

    The Manager of Strategic Analytics will be part of the Claims Fraud team, part of GEICO's Claims Home Office organization, combines data analytics, strategic thinking, in-depth research, and data science skillsets to solve complex business challenges for the claims organization and the broader company. Our team is looking for a Manager to lead analytical and strategic projects focused on building a comprehensive fraud strategy for the organization. Activities include managing a team of analysts, structuring analyses, building narratives from data, managing stakeholders, and preparing clear, concise, and compelling executive-level research products.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide data driven fraud insights to internal stakeholders for emerging fraud trends
    • Research and stay ahead of any new or emerging fraud trends and risks, including identification of new data within our network that leads to fraud identification
    • Ownership of fraud risk on new products
    • Build fraud detection products and models using network data, from initial testing to product/model launch and production
    • Lead a team of fraud and data experts responsible for the development and implementation of fraud strategies for current and future lines of business.
    • Develops solutions and makes recommendations associated with fraud risk based on an understanding of the business strategy and company needs.
    • Designing and implementing strategies to prevent and mitigate fraud.
    • Development of analytical solutions that allow us to detect fraudulent activity and prevent losses through statistical analysis of data
    • Develop executive-level presentations to communicate research findings in a professional, clear, and concise manner
    • Use advanced statistical techniques, algorrithms and industry tools to develop solutions that predict and prevent fraud risk associated with claims.
    • Translate conceptual questions into data-driven analyses to allow leaders to make informed decisions
    • Structure and guide modeling efforts that underpin strategic recommendations
    • Transform data into useful information tailored to leadership needs through storyboarding and data visualization
    • Hires, evaluates, and supervises analysts. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop team.
    • Manage the work and deliverables of team members

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred
    • 7+ years of relevant work experience in analytical roles
    • High level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity

    PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS:

    • Ability to lead others to deliver quality work under tight timelines and shifting priorities
    • Analytical mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects. The scope and variety of work will change frequently depending on the current project portfolio
    • Solid understanding of claims fraud, analytics, and a strong business acumen
    • Proficient with data manipulation (data structuring, wrangling) and analysis
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills; comfortable with ambiguity
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills with ability to "tell the story"
    • Extremely strong interpersonal and team building skills; able to foster a cohesive and effective work environment
    • An ability to work effectively across functions and levels; comfort collaborating with teammates in both and in-person and virtual environment

    Annual Salary

    $118, $207,000.00

    The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
