    Paraprofessional

    This role is responsible for supporting students in achieving their educational, social, and emotional goals.

    As a Paraprofessional, you will complement teachers' educational efforts by providing direct support and instruction to students throughout the school day.

    This position would be for 24/25 School year.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Be kind, considerate, and compassionate towards students.
    • Build good working relationships with students and teachers.
    • Work collaboratively with teachers to support students' growth and development.
    • Assist teachers with implementing school-wide and class-wide positive behavior initiatives.
    • Support students in displaying and maintaining on-task behavior.
    • Follow student-specific treatment, teaching, or lesson plans to support students' academic, social, and emotional goals.

    Requirements:

    • High school graduate, GED or equivalent of education and training.
    • Background checks as stipulated by local and/or state requirements.
    • First aid and/or CPR certification as stipulated by local and/or state requirements.
    • Registration or Certification as required by state requirements.

    Other Skills/Abilities:

    • Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.
    • Must be able to support students in using technology and adaptive devices they need to complete schoolwork, communicate, and navigate throughout the school.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
    • Must be able to travel to/from school/work location.
    • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds.
    • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
