    Description


    SMX is looking for a skilled Cloud Data Engineer with hands-on experience with managing data and AWS technologies related to Data Analytics, Big Data, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes.

    This person will be closely collaborating with data engineers/developers to produce creative solutions, create data pipelines, dimensional data models and data analytics.

    This is a full-time position with on-site work performed at a client's office located in Washington, D.C. or College Park, MD or Reston, VA with possibility for some flexibility to work remote. Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance required.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Work with cloud data architect to migrate and optimize existing pipelines of on-prem data warehouse to AWS.
    Help design and develop SQL-based ETL/ELT processes in support of the business requirements.
    Maintain optimal data pipelines as business requirements evolve and upstream system changes are implemented
    Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities.


    Required Skills:
    Experience with using data analytics tools in AWS (Redshift, S3, DMS, Lambda, Glue)
    Previous experience with relational databases (Oracle)
    Expert in SQL knowledge
    Experience with ETL Tools
    Experience with Reporting/Analytics tools
    Excellent collaboration skills
    Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and AWS architecture best practices
    Experience working with Momentum ERP System or other financial system a plus


    Required Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics disciplines, or related area
    3+ years of experience with Data Analytics and SQL
    Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance required

    This position requires three days a week on site at customer location in Washington, DC or Reston, Virginia or College Park, MD.

    The rest of the week can be remote (there is some flexibility) *
