TITLE OF VACANCY: School Social Worker or School Psychologist
LOCATION: Travel various Special Education Extended School Year locations
CONTRACT PERIOD: June 2 – June 26, 2026, Monday – Friday (18 days)
Hours: 6 hours per day
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Student Support Services
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in School Social Work or Master's Degree or higher in School Psychology
- Completion of a 9-month school social work internship or a nine-month internship in school psychology
- Professional Educators License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement or PEL School Psychologist endorsement
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrate capabilities in leadership, public and community relations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current federal and state laws and rules and regulations
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform school social work/school psychological duties related to special education including assistance with behavior management, and effective behavioral/academic intervention strategies; behavioral consultation with staff, students and families; home visits and meeting with parents outside of the school setting may also occur.
- Coordinate and support prevention services for all students within the building.
- Conduct life threat evaluations and risk assessments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the school-wide PBIS initiatives/incentives.
- Participate in the building's problem-solving team and consult with administrators, teachers and parents regarding individual students.
- Maintain an active and visible presence with staff, students and parents.
- Provide and/or develop professional development to staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

SALARY: $38.47 per hour
