- Conduct license request reviews to ensure appropriate compliance with registration requirements
- Review license requests referred to from DTCL to ensure compliance with registration requirements
- Initiate inquiries and obtain appropriate documentation from US parties or other program elements
- Prepare final actions for senior staff approval
- Update and maintain the State Department's Watch List database
- Help identify and implement technical improvements to the system
- Monitor team efforts, respond to workload shifts, and maintain high-quality work products
- Coordinate and liaise with interagency non-proliferation and export control community on arms trafficking/proliferation matters
- Coordinate with licensing offices on compliance and enforcement matters
- Help coordinate plans and operations to prevent violations of US export laws and support remedial actions
- Conduct proactive outreach to promote compliance with US export laws and regulations
- Speak at government and industry conferences
- Participate in Company Visit program activities
- Respond to inquiries concerning compliance matters
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to resolve disputes in a timely and professional manner
- Good written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Good organizational skills, including the ability to assist on multiple projects within established timeframes
- Ability to synthesize information and develop recommendations for management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs and ability to operate office equipment
- May be required to travel within Domestic and/or International
- Must pass preemployment qualifications and government background check
