- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders. Utilize a variety of assessment tools and techniques to develop accurate and effective treatment plans.
- Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs. Set specific goals and objectives tailored to each student's unique requirements.
- Therapy Services: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices. Implement various therapy techniques to address articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication goals. Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document students' progress toward their speech and language goals. Adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of students across multiple school sites. Caseloads will vary depending on the specific school placement.
- Compliance: Ensure all services provided are in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as school policies and procedures.
- Beverly Shores Elementary: Full-time, 5 days per week.
- Mixed Schedule:
- Oak Park Middle School (2 days per week)
- Fruitland Park Elementary (1 day per week, shared with another SLP)
- The Villages Elementary (1 day per week, shared with another SLP)
- The Academies North (1 day per week, near Lake Hills Academy)
- Groveland Elementary School: 4 days per week and The Academies at Lake Hills for 1 day per week.
- Rimes Early Learning Center: Full-time, 5 days per week.
- Gray Middle School: Full-time, 5 days per week.
- Bilingual District Evaluator (Spanish/English): Full-time, 5 days per week.
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certification: Valid state licensure and ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification.
- Experience: Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Job Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Lake County School District, you will be instrumental in supporting students' communication and language development. You will work across various schools within the district, providing critical speech and language services. We are looking for candidates who are flexible and adaptable, as specific school placements will not be determined until mid-April. This position is available as either full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time, with all services to be provided onsite.
