    Crestwood Medical Center is located in Huntsville, AL which offers a variety of attractions, such as education, arts, nature or just pure entertainment.     Requirements:
    • Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program (required)
    • C-ARRT Sonography (required)
    • C-ARRT Vascular Sonography (preferred)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
    Responsibilities:
    • Performs ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
    • Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis.
    • Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures.
    • Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfactory patient identification obtained prior to conducting procedure.
    • Performs all procedures according to departmental protocol.
    • Provides guidance, direction, and mentoring to the Ultrasound students and effectively communicates departmentally and interdepartmentally.
    • Performs vascular procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for imaging diagnosis.
    • Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures.
    • Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfactory patient identification obtained prior to conducting procedure
    • The technologist is required to assist with coverage of fellow staff members with vacation, illness, holiday coverage, etc.
