    Our professional staff includes licensed psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors, as well as graduate student staff from each of these disciplines.

    Our staff provides high quality mental health and substance use services that are easily accessible and support student success.

    Counseling Services supports the education and prevention mission of the CSU Health Network through presentations and training on mental health topics.

    Through outreach and consultation, we create collaborative relationships with offices serving students typically underrepresented in higher education and mental health services.

    Our training program provides post degree fellowship, internship, and practicum training to graduate students in psychology, social work, counseling, and student affairs.

    Position SummaryThe Counselor in Residence ( CIR ) Supervisor leads a team of on-call counselors living within CSU University Housing.

    The purpose of this team is to provide on-call mental health consultation to staff and emergency support for students. The CIR Supervisor will supervise and coordinate a team of clinicians who support the CSU University Housing Team.
    The CIR Supervisor will be provided with a two bedroom apartment on the CSU campus. CSU Housing & Dining Services ( HDS ) will determine the location of the apartment.

    The CIR Supervisor will not be charged for the cost of rent, electricity, water/sewage, trash/recycling, or internet connectivity in the assigned apartment.

    If the CIR Supervisor owns a vehicle, they will be responsible for the cost of a permit to park on campus.

    The CIR Supervisor reports to the Assistant Director of Training & Group Services.
