    Description


    Quality Engineer Ringwood, IL $25-$40 an hour Full Time (M-F)We are a world class leader in manufacturing precision metal stampings, wire forms and intricately designed custom and standard metal parts for a wide range of industries and applications.

    We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer.

    This is a fast-paced, high volume, multi-tasking position and job duties may vary as needed with room for growth and advancement.


    Job RequirementsJob Duties:

    • Familiar with typical inspection equipment (Microscopic Vision Systems, Optical Comparator, Keyence, Dial Indicator, Depth Micrometer, Micrometer, Caliper, Insertion/Extraction Force, go/no go thread/plug gages, etc.
    • Strong GD&T knowledge, including reading and interpreting blueprints
    • IATF 16949 & ISO 9001 Certifications (understanding of requirements, auditing, etc)
    • APQP, PPAP"s, FMEAS, Control Plans, CAPA, SPC, Inspection Plans, Fit & Function Testing, and Continual Improvement
    • Comfortable working directly with customers and upper management
    • Continual Improvement
    • Familiar with implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing process, processes, products, and production equipment.
    • Has worked in the metal stamping/forming/machining industry with knowledge of heat treating and plating/coating
    • Handling of root cause investigations using 8D and 5Y methodologies along with Implementing of CAPAs from start to finish
    • Understanding of calibration, documentation control, auditing

    Basic Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of experience working as a Quality Engineer
    • Education: B.S Mechanical, Quality Engineering or Equivalent
    • Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, tools and quality manufacturing processes
