- Experience in Injection Moulding and/or Profile Extrusion preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Solid troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Able to lift up to 50-70 lbs. safely
- Experience driving forklifts
- Assist in start-up and shut-down procedure - requires aiding the technician to move the bath on the tracts
- Feed sheet of plastic into the puller, working from Kanban cards, and item specific production rates
- Operate a multi station extrusion machine or single die injection mold machine, to extrude or injection various linear products
- Assemble corrugated cartons and fill with product, seal using a stapler, carton sealer or other similar tool
- Make sure product and carton labels are correct and applied properly in correct location
- Move finished carton from the packing table to storage or shipping rack using established pushing/lifting techniques
- Measure lengths of product as required and observe product quality, such as surface defects or form/shape etc. during operation - notify Technicians of any production or quality problems
- Dispose of scrap by cutting or grinding as instructed
- Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
- Enter all time and production information into the computer in a timely and accurate manner
- Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by Leadership
- Ability to use ordinary arithmetic in decimals and fractions, practice charts, specifications, schedule, variable controls and measuring devices
- Judgment is required to plan, perform and make decisions as to set up and sequence of operations
- Good attendance and performance record
