The incumbent supports the Flood Planning Branch Manager to ensure the development and execution of flood system planning and policy development activities. An integral part of this position requires strong, collaborative, and frequent interactions with our partners, including the Central Valley Flood Protection Board, Governor's Office of Planning and Research, US Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Emergency Management Agency, federal and State resource agencies, and other federal, State, local, and tribal entities responsible for managing California's flood risks.

Special Requirements
Possession of a Bachelor's Degree with a major in engineering, biological, chemical, physical, or environmental science, public administration, planning, or a closely related field and a valid California driver's license. This position is covered in the Political Reform Act and requires financial disclosure within 30 days of the first and last day physically worked in a covered position and annually by April 1st.
