Join Our Team as a Home Study/Post-Release Case Manager at KDC!
The Home Study/Post-Release Case Manager role at KDC involves providing trauma-informed case management and support to unaccompanied immigrant children released from federal custody. This position includes conducting home studies to assess child safety and crisis intervention when needed. It's a full-time position with a flexible schedule that may require weekends and evenings.
As a Case Manager, you'll conduct home visits and phone contacts to ensure child safety and appropriate placement while linking them to necessary community services. Your role will also involve continuous case management focusing on various areas such as placement, safety, education, health, and legal proceedings. Additionally, you'll provide crisis intervention services and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with policies and procedures.
Use social work best practices for thorough assessments, communicate effectively with supervisors, and participate in ongoing supervision.
If you have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, are fluent in Spanish, and can travel up to 70%, you might be a great fit for this role. A valid driver's license and experience with child welfare programs are essential. Knowledge of community resources, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Experience with refugee or immigrant children and cross-cultural exposure are preferred.
