    Vulnerability Remediation Coordinator

    Overview

    Evolver seeking a

    Vulnerability Remediation Coordinator.


    The Vulnerability Remediation Coordinator will be responsible for managing the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities across the organization's infrastructure, including on-premise Windows workstations, Windows servers, and Azure workloads.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with modern automation tools such as Vulcan, Qualys, and Archer.

    You should have a deep understanding of how to use these tools to automate the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities, as well as a strong grasp of automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, and SCCM.

    You are also key at developing the vulnerability remediation program and managing those efforts. Currently, this is the only role dedicated to vulnerability remediation.


    This role can be remote but the core team is pacific time zone so it is preferred you are able to accommodate something close to a pacific time zone or at least have flexibility for meetings, collaboration and technical needs.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with IT teams to identify vulnerabilities in on-premise Windows workstations, Windows servers, and Azure workloads.

    Develop and maintain a comprehensive vulnerability remediation program for these environments.

    Use automation tools to scan these environments for vulnerabilities and ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.

    Coordinate with IT teams to prioritize and assign remediation tasks based on risk.

    Be able to direct the server/endpoint teams on what to patch and when. Be confident in knowing what the patch will do and how/if it will affect the systems involved.

    Develop and maintain vulnerability remediation reports for executive management.

    Continuously review and improve the vulnerability remediation process.

    Participate in security incident response activities as needed.

    Basic Qualifications:

    3 years of proven work experience as a Vulnerability Remediation Coordinator or similar role.

    3 years of experience and strong knowledge of modern automation tools such as Vulcan, Qualys, and Archer.

    3 years of deep understanding of vulnerability management concepts and best practices.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    5+ years working hands on with VR, automation tools and managing the VR direction, solutions and resolutions.

    Excellent programming skills using automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, and SCCM.

    Strong experience building VR programs and project management.

    Experience with vulnerability remediation for on-premise Windows workstations, Windows servers, and Azure workloads.

    Technical expertise in both workstation and server operating systems

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

    Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are desirable.
