    Overview:

    Axient is seeking a Cybersecurity/Information Technology Specialist to support the Air Force SEEK EAGLE office in direct support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), the Information System Security Officer (ISSO), and work closely with Information Technology (IT) administrators in configuring and securing the organizations primary production system enclave. The work performed will be in direct support to the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Program to meet High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) secure networking requirements. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent technical and communication skills accustomed to federal cyber security/information assurance processes.

    Responsibilities:

    Will work directly with contractor and Government personnel in a mixed production environment to support Air Force SEEK EAGLE mission.

    • Conduct technical administrative tasks on Windows, Macs, Linux hosts and network firewalls in support of maintaining DoD cyber security requirements and controls on the enclave.
    • Assist the ISSM to ensure System Security Plan (SSP) and supporting artifacts adhere to Risk Management Framework (RMF) cyber security requirements.
    • Review and configure systems to meet Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) requirements and conduct Secure Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans.
    • Execute various system cybersecurity audits and reviews.
    • Assist ISSO with monitoring the enclave against cyber-attacks and implement risk mitigation countermeasure to fortify a secure system environment for the organization.
    • Work closely with the organizations IT team to communicate pending cyber security changes and de-conflict any possible issues that may arise in the execution of changes.
    • Effectively communicate with leadership and the customer on technical information, concepts, and issues.
    Qualifications:

    Minimum requirements for this position:

    • Information Technology Specialist Level 3 (see PWS requirements)
    • Have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance or be in possession of one.
    • Must have or can obtain a DoD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security+ certification or higher
    • 7+ years of relevant experience desired
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
    • Very good attention to detail and a candidate who takes ownership and pride in all work
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills

    Desired skills and experience for this position:

    • Advanced troubleshooting skills working with either Windows, Linux, or MacOS systems.
    • Skilled with implementation of cyber security control practices
    • Firm understanding of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and cybersecurity practices.
    • Experience with any of the following is a plus:
      • Tenable; aka Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
      • Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS); formerly McAfee
      • Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
      • SolarWinds
      • Firewalls (SonicWALL, Palo Alto, etc.)
      • PowerShell and scripting
      • AI/ML
      • Cloud Security
