    Description

    Job Summary

    This position involves preparing billings for reimbursements, monitoring spend down of all funding sources, and providing support to assigned units.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish and maintain proper documentation for government and contract grants.
    • Coordinate with internal/external auditors for review of grant documentation.
    • Prepare and submit billings for reimbursement from governmental and contractual agencies.
    • Prepare timely external reports for funders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
    • Responsible for the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) pertaining to assigned units.
    • Prepare monthly accruals for assigned Units' grant activity.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field plus two years of accounting experience.
    • Required computer knowledge includes experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and network-based accounting software.
    • Must be a team player, self-starter, able to handle several projects at a time, and perform well with minimal supervision.
