    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled ultrasound Sonographer to join our talented team. As a Sonographer from WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes.     For this role, coverage will be needed in Northern Westchester (Hudson Valley and Cortlandt Manor, NY) to support the vacation and sick days of the staff located there.

    Ideally a skilled sonographer living between these locations would be a great fitThe location is in Bronxville, New York (NY)

    The working schedule for this role is flexible: 8-4, 9-5 or 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
    • No weekends.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Preparing the diagnostic equipment before appointmentsDiscussing the procedure and medical history with patientsPositioning the patient to produce the highest-quality imagesCreating images of organs and tissues for diagnostic and assessment purposes using an ultrasound transducerEnsuring the generated images are clear and capture the necessary informationIdentifying potential abnormalities detected with the imagesProviding a summary of the findings and documenting it in patient recordsCommunicating with physicians and other medical team members, who use the images to make a diagnosisAnswering questions, preparing patients by applying the gel to the skin, and positioning the patients on the tableMonitoring and caring for patients to ensure their safety and comfort during the proceduresSelecting and examining images, looking for differences between healthy and pathological areas, and determining if the scope of the exam should be extended, based on preliminary findingsAssisting Physicians and the healthcare teams during invasive proceduresMaintaining and cleaning the sonographic equipmentPerforming medical procedures, such as administering oxygen, taking vital signs, and giving emergency treatmentsQualifications:Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical ProgramCandidate must be RDMS or RDMS registry eligible.

    RDMS eligible graduates from CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education) accredited program must be registered in OB/GYN within 12 months of employment.
