About the Company

Our client is an enterprise retail organization that is committed to innovation and excellence. They are in a phase of rapid growth, aiming to integrate and modernize their technology systems to provide seamless and efficient solutions to their customers.

They're in search of a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect to join their team. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for designing the technical roadmap and ensuring the delivery of comprehensive solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate will come from a development background, with expertise in both front-end and back-end systems, including middleware, cloud solutions, and possess skills in Java and JavaScript latest technology stacks.

This position is a direct-hire role requiring two days of on-site work.

Position Summary

closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
a detailed technical roadmap and architecture for integrating and modernizing their existing systems, including eCommerce, store systems, inventory management, and integration with insurance companies.
outlines and skeleton code to guide the development team in implementing technical solutions.
APIs to facilitate robust and efficient client-server communication.
cloud technologies to build and deploy applications in a secure, scalable environment.
scripting and automation tasks, enhancing the development lifecycle.
IOT enabled solutions and introduce AI/Machine learning into the environment.
NodeJS for server-side logic, creating high-performance applications.
testing strategies using tools like Cucumber to ensure application reliability and performance.
the design and implementation of pilot programs, such as improving their order system through the integration and modernization of standalone and legacy systems.
solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with their strategic goal to become a one-stop shop for their customers, with a multitude of applications that seamlessly interact.
abreast of technology trends and best practices to drive innovation within the company.
in a dynamic, product-specific corporate environment, contributing significantly to technology-driven projects with a substantial budget.

Minimum Experience

experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role, with a strong development background.
understanding of front-end, back-end, and middleware technologies.
development experience within Java, JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Vue JS), CSS frameworks, and NodeJS.
with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of cloud architecture best practices.
in developing and integrating APIs.
with IOT and Machine Learning is a plus.
to write clear, maintainable code and to outline technical solutions for development teams.
with system integration and modernization projects, particularly in retail or similar environments.
analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design step-by-step technical solutions for complex challenges.
communication and collaboration skills, capable of working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
