    • Rockford Position Summary: This position serves as a member of the Boylan Catholic High School's leadership team and bears overall responsibility for communications, public relations, brand, and marketing.
    It requires a strategic communications professional who can develop marketing strategies and has comprehensive knowledge of marketing elements, including community relations, media relations, advertising, social media, marketing strategy, and web oversight.


    Areas of Responsibility:

    Develop and implement an annual comprehensive strategic communications and marketing plan for with the goal of building brand awareness and targeted results to support enrollment and advancement efforts at Boylan Catholic High School.

    Establish short and long-range marketing goals and objectives based on school's strategic plan.
    Oversee message strategy for various stakeholder groups including prospective students, current parents, donors, and alumni; manage weekly parent communications.
    Serve as brand gatekeeper for all publications and graphic design. Ensures that standards for brand, identity, and logos are maintained.
    Oversee vision for web communication and design; works closely with Technology Director to update website on a regular basis.

    Manage Boylan's social media platforms, including developing a content calendar, posting, and driving the strategy for both organic and paid content.

    Direct and manage vendors, consultants, contractors, etc. for marketing and communications purposes.

    Write content and/or oversee the editing of all external publications before they go to print (e.g., viewbooks, brochures, newsletters, annual reports, yearbook, etc.).Serve as primary point of contact for media and serve as spokesperson when required.

    Conduct proactive and reactive media relations. Maintain database of media contacts and library of coverage.

    Serve as press secretary to President by facilitating media interviews, identifying opportunities for public speaking and commentary, and assisting with speech writing.

    Develop, implement, and maintain crisis communication plans; draft messaging in response to crisis or high-sensitivity issues.
    Archive and manage all photos for school.
    Support and participate in all aspects of the school's strategic planning processes.
    Annually prepare and manage marketing budget for the approval of the President.
    Prepare quarterly board reports.
    Any other duties as assigned by the President.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Commitment to Catholic education and the development of youth.
    Working knowledge of web editing and content management.
    Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage a variety of tasks and deadlines.
    Demonstrated knowledge of event planning, public relations, and marketing principles and practices.
    Willingness to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
    Superb writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    Ability to work collaboratively and independently on complex projects.

    Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with a diverse group of individuals, ranging from senior management, administration, board members, faculty, staff, volunteers and the general public.

    Ability to effectively work under pressure, be flexible, use independent judgment and produce quality work within tight time constraints.
    Ability to respond to sensitive matters and/or situations with discretion and tact.

    Ability to bring energy, creativity, professionalism, and community relations expertise that will make a substantial impact on special events while enhancing the image and positive relationships of the school.

    Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with, InDesign, Photoshop (Adobe Suite of products) and other software programs necessary to perform duties.

    Ability to create and design publications in-house a plus.
    Strong ability to identify marketing opportunities and develop strategies and creative marketing solutions.
    Proven team player with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    Demonstrated experience in media relations, project management, and strategic planning.
    Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, Board members, donors and students.

    Qu a li f i cat i o n s :
