    FULL-TIME DIRECT PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITY

    Job Title: Electronic Technician II

    Location: Chatsworth, CA

    Pay Rate: $ Depending on Experience

    Description:

    • The Electronics Test Tech II is solely responsible for assembling, testing, and disassembling, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing intermediate to moderate level complexity mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic sub/top assemblies ensuring compliance with all requirements relating to quality, safety, workmanship, functionality, performance, regulatory and customer requirements.
    • Training and guidance from an Aviation Manufacturing Technician (AMT) level III or IV may be required to accomplish tasks as needed. Follow and comply with documented work instructions, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, customer requirements, or other approved technical data in hard copy and electronic formats as needed to accomplish required tasks.
    • Ability to use basic to moderately complex mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales, DMM, oscilloscope, frequency analyzer, etc.
    • Set up and operate the required test equipment. Comply with chemical safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines, safety guidelines, and procedures. Ensure completeness and accuracy of work order documentation in accordance with procedures.
    • Calibration and Repair to component level.
    • Maintain data consisting of traceable results and history of calibrated equipment "software/hardcopy".
    • Prepare calibration reports and certificates.
    • Maintain calibration standards.
    • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment where applicable.
    • Analyze measurement data to identify abnormalities, trends and/or predicting future values.
    • Identify Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment (IM&TE) out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc.
    • Adapt existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements tasks for which they are not principally used.
    • Design and document measurement reference material for laboratory use.
    • Analyze calibration cycles and IM&TE inventory to ensure consistent availability.
    • Interact with other metrology technicians, engineers, and assembly technicians to resolve metrology/calibration issues.2121

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • A high school diploma or GED. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
    • Ability to perform basic math calculations
    • 2-4 years experience in the aerospace manufacturing environment assembling pumps, motors, valves, and actuators
    • Ability to assemble and perform test operations of Level II components, sub-assemblies, and top-level assemblies
    • Ability to read, interpret and understand electrical/hydraulic schematic
    • Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and schematics, winding, soldering, crimping, varnishing, patting, riveting, rubber stamping, and spot welding
    • Read, interpret, and understand technical data in written, graphic form, and Wiring Diagram
    • Access, navigation, and use of electronic and physical databases
    • Able to perform routine maintenance of test equipment
    • Knowledge of basic skills: MS Office Suite- Excel, Word, Outlook
    • Must know how to use precision measuring equipment (Micrometer, Caliper, Scale)
    • Able to perform media blasting operations
    • Able to prepare and apply paint using spray equipment
    • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to component level
    • Must have knowledge using mechanical hand tools
    • Positive attitude and team player
    • Able to adapt job activity methods or processes to satisfy changing environments to meet daily deadlines
