    Current Opportunities in Miami and Hollywood, Florida

    • PRN - Per Diem Openings
    • Dade and Broward County Opportunities
    • Home and Community Functional Rehabilitation
    • Neuro Rehab; knowledge of brain injuries, stroke, Parkinson's, spinal cord injuries, amputations and various neurological and complex conditions a plus
    • Home health experience a plus
    • Community integration experience a plus
    • Ability to be creative while implementing scientifically proven rehabilitation methods; this could include going to the beach or taking a client walking in the park

    What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

    • Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
    • Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
    • Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
    • Communicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
    • Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

    What you will need:

    • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a college or university with accredited Physical Therapy program
    • Current, unrestricted license as Physical Therapist by state in which practicing
    • Current Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification in accordance state regulations
    • A minimum of one year's work experience as a physical therapist preferred
    • Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury
    • Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
    • Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail
    • The candidate/employee will have the physical ability to perform job related duties which may require sitting, lifting, standing, bending, stooping, stretching, walking, pushing, and pulling
    • A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on the specific location policy, local or state regulations to verify that he/she is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations

    Additional Job Information

    Join our expanding team into Broward County, FL

    • PT licensure in the state of Florida required
    • Acute, post-acute experience preferred
    • Neurological experience highly preferred
    • Home or community settings preferred
    • 2 yrs. experience as a Physical Therapist preferred
    • Bilingual a plus: Spanish and English
    • Neuro certifications a plus: Neuro-Ifrah, CBIS, LSVT and related certifications
    • Experience in community integration, home health, functional rehabilitation methods a plus
    • Ability to be creative with functional rehabilitation methods; take a client walking in the sand for balance or taking their dog for a walk - helping individuals in real life environments with proven results
