• Pittsburgh is actively recruiting an Accounting Manager responsible for overseeing the financial operations and day to day accounting activity, ensuring the organization is on track to meet its short term and long term financial goals.

This Accounting Manager will maximize the financial performance by providing direction and insight into the planning, development, and control of financial operations to support its strategic and operational objectives.

This is a hands-on role handling all daily accounting and finance responsibilities to include reporting, analyses, payroll, internal policies and procedures, and providing accurate and timely financial statements.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager Oversee and perform all general accounting functions and financial operations including general ledger management, accounts payable, billing, bank reconciliations, cash receipts, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and petty cash.

Establishes and maintains appropriate internal controls to safeguard assets, ensures proper accounting of transactions, and promotes operational efficiency with respect to financial matters.

Works in conjunction with the leadership to develop budgets for annual staffing compensation and bonuses.
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

Monitors cash flow and handles cash management to include borrowing against lines of credit, projections, and management of capital requirements.

Build and mentor Finance and Accounting team members through the implementation of systems, processes, internal controls and policies.
Responsible for year-end tax planning, coordinates with outside professionals for the preparation of the Firm's tax returns.

Requirements of the Accounting Manager Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or financeCPA and/or MBA preferred10+ years of experience with 5+ of those in leadershipStrong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgetingStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skillsExperience with payroll and retirement plan reportingEntrepreneurial spirit and passion for buildingIf you are qualified and interested in this opportunity, please contact your IFG Partner or Matt Shaffer at x226 for additional details and confidential consideration.
