    Description

    POSITION DEFINITION:
    Provide clinical supervision for on-site care management services for clients of Bergen County Housing, Health and Human Services Center including those that are homeless or at-risk of homelessness

    GENERAL DUTIES:
    Ensure appropriate clinical services for BCHHH clients. Promote permanent housing linkage, independence and stability for participating clients through coordination with on-site and community-based case management partnerships.

    Clinical Coordinator will work within a framework consistent with Housing First Model and Wellness and Recovery based on established principles.

    Work collaboratively with the Shelter Manager, staff of Drop-in, and Center Case Management team transitioning clients into housing in the community as well as all other health and human services available on-site and in the community.

    Develops goals and objectives and ensures they are carried out by staff interns, volunteers and assigned staff and accomplished within designated timeframes.

    Required to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and on-call responsibilities.


    RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's Degree in social work, psychology
    • Experience in at least one of the following: crisis intervention, counseling, mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, housing procurement, or job development.
    • Must demonstrate good organizational, communication, negotiating and problem solving skills.
    • Must be a team player.
    • Use of own vehicle.
    • Experience documenting services in computerized records

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Licensed Clinician
    • Experience with individuals who have substance abuse, mental health and criminal histories.
    • Demonstrated competency in crisis intervention and knowledge of community based resources.
    • Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) Certification
    • Two years experience working with individuals that are homeless or at-risk of homelessness.
    • Three years supervisory experience

    LICENSE/CERTIFICAATIONS:

    • Valid Driver's License
