How You Will Make a Difference

Observe residents, documenting and reporting changes in residents' conditions, such as negative reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary steps
Administer prescribed medications or initiate intravenous fluids, and record times and quantities on patients' charts
Provide basic resident care and treatments, such as measuring temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, etc.
Collect samples from residents and conduct routine laboratory tests on the samples
Assist residents with bathing, grooming, maintaining personal hygiene, repositioning in bed, or moving around
Evaluate outcomes of nursing interventions, consulting with other members of the healthcare team when required
